Location: Rhodes is around 363km (226 miles) away from the mainland of Greece.

The Medieval Old Town of Rhodes is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is the largest and best preserved fortified city in Europe.

You’ll find the Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights. Often called “Kastello” by the locals – this is an iconic landmark on the island.

Beautiful buildings including the magnificent fortress, this is one of the most extraordinary medieval towns in the world.

Constructed back in 408BC, you’ll feel like you’re travelling back in time with the intricate craftsmanship and extensive architecture.

The Acropolis of Rhodes is located just outside of Rhodes City.

You can visit and admire the beautiful Hellenistic Archaeological site that includes the famous landmarks, mentioned below.

Along with the above, you will also be able to see a partially reconstructed Odeon which is used for music performances.

Travel further away and make your way to Lindos. Here, you will find the Acropolis of Lindos.

Sitting above the modern town and perched on a steep cliff, this is another architectural marvel in Greece.

Lindos is further down the coast and can be reached in a range of ways including Bus, Taxi, Rental Car or the most scenic route – by boat.

Butterfly Valley of Rhodes

The Valley of Butterflies.

Located in the Northern part of the Island, around 26km from the town centre of Rhodes and 10km from the airport.

Also known as “Petaloudes Valley“(Petalouda = Butterfly)

A beautiful yet unusual nature park that is cared for year-round and attracts beautiful swarms of multi-coloured and unique butterflies.

Entry to the valley of butterflies tends to start from May 1st until October 31st.
